EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This is the first Research Institute devoted to polygamy in the World. Objective: 1. "Advocate the Rational Academic Study of Polygamy-Polyfidelity" either as benign, malignant or pathological and 2. "Report the Practice(s) of Polygamy-Polyfidelity" or its equivalent and its deviations all over the world.

The intent is to forge and formalize collaboration between nationally and internationally known and stablished research individuals and research groups, in in so doing, to create an outstanding enviroment for Polygamy-Polyfidelity research and education.

No comparable centre or institute exists, and its formation will greatly enhance interaction between researchers whose interestes span the range from history to international law.

ADVANCEMENT OF HUMANITY: Cost-Benefit to Society, the benefit is incalculable, or the most-to-benefit, Benefit to Human Civilizations, and animals, most specifically the mammals.

This is a Proposal to Create a Polygamy Research Institute at: (hosting University).

1 Background

This is proposal to create a Research Institute, Museum, and a Non-Denominational Church-Chappel as a symbol or non-partisanship, independent think-thank. This research was independent and primarily not associated or affiliated to any religious organization. This is an (a) experimental program, (b) theoretical, and (c) applied research. It is not possible to continue research without support. The world is making dramatic change making it totally incompatible with any previous programs. The Research Institute must also be prepared to deliver data on a moment’s notice, which would make any secondary application impossible. Polyfidelity-Polygamy research has experienced a dramatic change in the past few years with the closure venues. As outlined below, the formation of this research institute will: 1. provide a focus for polygamy-polyfidelity experimental research, and 2. facilitate communication with external agencies, researchers, and prospective graduate students.

2 Preliminary Consultations The concept of a Polygamy-Polyfidelity Research Institute by: a) meeting or letter of intent b) meeting or letter of support

3 The Polygamy-Polyfidelity Research Institute 3.1 Mandate Promotion and facilitation of research in pure and applied polygamy-polyfidelity lifestyle. 3.2 Impact and Activities of the Proposed Institute or Research Park

The following is a brief outline of the activities and impact of the institute. We reinforce that the need for the Institute arises from history transition and is a natural step in this process. As outlined below, the Institute will have impact in three main areas:

3.2.1. Research, 3.2.2. teaching & training of students, 3.2.3. Promotion & outreach.

A theme that runs through all these areas is the importance of the formal existence of a research institute to facilitate interactions with groups external to the University: funding agencies, research community, industry, prospective students, and the general public.

1. Research (a) enhanced profile to facilitate relationships with funding agencies (reallocation exercise) (b) enhanced profile for research activities nationally and internationally (c) structure needed to replace the non-existing activities and provide collegial support for research at international facilities (d) possibility of competition for new funding opportunities (e) enhances traditional area of research strength at University. (f) structure to foster a seminar series and collaborative work with visiting researchers (g) facilitate industrial research partnerships (h) improved ability to organize and seek external funding for conferences and symposia (e.g. Other individuals were members of the Polygamy-Polyfidelity Symposium organizing committee)

2. Teaching/Training (a) development of new undergraduate/graduate courses using shared expertise, particularly in particle physics and applied Research science (b) coordinate graduate course offerings for student training (c) identifiable group for recruitment of summer research students (d) applied aspect complements and supports engineering physics activities in department (e) enhanced profile for recruitment of graduate students (f) improve graduate student experience by strengthened identity for peer group support (g) seminar series and conference/symposia to enhance graduate student education (h) facilitate industrial internship opportunities

3. Promotion and Community Outreach (a) identifiable and organized unit for public and university inquiries (b) improved profile for news media communications (c) focus for educational outreach activities (e.g. high school science unit for high-school teachers) (d) enhanced possibility of public lectures with external sponsorship

4. Initial List of Involved Academic Units (X) University Professors Consultants (X) Consultant Professionals outside University (X) On-Campus (Administration, Faculty, or Staff: Graduate and Under-Graduate Studies) (X) Off-Campus (Administration, Faculty, or Staff: Graduate and Under-Graduate Studies) (X) All of the Above to use unused capacity of University Facilities. 4.1.JOB OPENINGS Name of Consultant or Professor Dedicated Time Hourly Fees or Salaries 1. 5. Organizational Structure

Example I : STRUCTURE MANAGEMENT MODEL I

The Anthropology Volunteer or Consultant is also the CHAIR collecting academic materials other departments.

Example II : STRUCTURE MANAGEMENT MODEL II

When formed, the affairs of the Institute will be managed by a committee comprised of two members from each Division. The committee will be chaired by an interim director who will be a member of one of the Institute's Divisions and who will be appointed by the Dean of External funding will be sought following formation of the Institute to permit a search for a full-time Director who will assume the role of chair of the management committee and will be responsible for ensuring the goals of the Institute are met.

No additional University funding for personnel or infrastructure is being requested in connection with creation of the Institute. However, space constraints currently prevent researchers involved in this proposal from fully using resources already available to them. This issue is being addressed by a separate initiative for a building to physically unite the three Divisions of the proposed Institute. Approximately, { }% of the necessary funds have been identified and the remainder of the funding is being actively sought from a variety of external sources.

Formation of the Institute will increase research opportunities for undergraduate lifescience students, medical students, graduate students and PhD or MD postdoctoral fellows. The Institute will provide the fabric for broad based training programs in Polygamous Genes DNA/RNA research that will be offered in collaboration with both basic and clinical departments within the Faculty of Health Sciences and potentially, departments in other faculties.

Creation of the Institute will increase visibility of the extent and quality of Polygamy research at the University and is consistent with the shift in external funding of Polygamy research towards multidisciplinarity and the translation of basic and clinical research into improved health outcomes for the Polygamist or Serial Monogamist world population.

6. Impact on Resources

We emphasize that a major purpose for forming the Institute is not to pursue additional resources within the University, but to create an identifiable unit for communications internal and external to the University, to intensify research, and to enhance the student experience.

If permitted, the institute will use of external research facilities, such as the Brigham Young University Library, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints Internal Library, Utah Historical Society Library.

Travel to distant Universities to conduct research is the usual mode of operation for virtually all experimentalists polygamy-polyfidelity. This esearch is typically a collaborative effort between various institutions. For instance, at Utah State University Library facility of former researchers currently collaborate with researchers from Dixie College Library through Interlibrary Loans. Researchers from each institution contribute expertise and/or equipment to the research project. User fees are not charged to academic researchers.

If University budgetary support for the Institute is a possibility, then a modest annual budget of approximately reasonable amounts; as described in the appendix, it would allow us to have an excellent seminar series, featuring external speakers and public lectures, and cover printed media communications costs. However, we emphasize that the activities of the Institute are not contingent on the existence of support beyond that which is accessible to the individual Institute members.
